Sahara International is raising funds for a $50,000 scholarship supporting students who demonstrate a passion for global development and a need for financial support. This scholarship is intended to help students establish sustainable income and promote global economic, social, and environmental regenerative growth. Once we meet our goal, we will open applications through which 1 student, expressing a strong interest in impact work, will be chosen as the recipient. We will also provide ongoing professional support to recipients. A portion of each trip booking with Sahara International is donated towards our scholarship fund.

Sahara International is aiming to raise $8,000 to be able to support educational services in Costa Rica. With this funding, we will be able to hire teachers to help students, especially in the subject of math where many of them struggle. We will work with El Puente, a community resource center in Costa Rica that works primarily with members of the indigenous BriBri tribe, and provides access to resources including food, educational opportunities, classes and workshops, and job placement. Their manager Derek is himself indigenous, and grew up coming to El Puente for the weekly meals and educational services.
